Career Development Services

In the current economic climate it is estimated that the majority of people will have 4-5 different careers in their lifetime. Competition in the world of work is tough and with the emphasis on individuals taking responsibility for their own career development, it is up to you to learn new skills, keep an open mind, deal positively with change and retain a vision of where you are headed. All these are key to you not only being successful but keeping one step ahead.

Companies, however, no matter how big or small also have a role to play, and more are seeing the benefits of investing in coaching to show how they value staff, to retain them and to get the best from those they have already invested in. WaringWell delivers a number of programmes such as our "Inspire Well" and "Lead Well" programmes which are  designed for managers so these skills can be available in house. We also work within companies as independent coaches. In this position we come with a detached view and as someone uninvolved with company policies and politics.

We can look at things from a different angle, ask questions, support and challenge and help develop new strategies and techniques. We will work not only with individuals but also with teams ensuring that a collective vision is achieved and that meetings are focused and productive. We can also play a monitoring role, picking up on issues and problems before they become apparent.

WaringWell offers a wide range of coaching services which are tailored to client needs and delivered to individuals, groups or teams. These cover the entire spectrum of career development.
 
The Interview Well Programme - There are three components to this programme.
  1. The first is offered as a one-off format and is for those who have secured an interview and are now feeling rather anxious or unsure about it. The session will address their specific anxieties, tackling fears, teaching techniques and looking at tips which will thoroughly prepare the client.   2. Here the client knows where they want to go but needs help and guidance in getting there. This eight-week programme starts with a review of the CV and covering letter, progresses through identifying jobs and writing applications, then works on interview preparation, and concludes with what to do when you secure that new job.
     
  3. The final component is for those who have no idea where they want to go or what they want to do. It begins with the need to find some direction and spends some time looking at suitable career options. It then continues following the structure of the above programme. It takes twelve weeks in all.

Perform Well Programme - The ability to present well in a meeting or at a conference, or to get your message across on television, radio or in the written media is a necessary skill for many. WaringWell offers a three part course which can be delivered as separate elements or any desired combination. It covers presentation skills, media skills and can incorporate external image skills as well. Elements of this programme need to take place face to face.

Work Well/ Live Well Programme - Many people struggle with a lack of balance in their lives. This programme encourages clients to look closely at how they want to live their lives and what their priorities are. Its aim is to ensure that clients have the necessary skills to work efficiently and effectively while also having time to devote to relaxation, friends and family. An individual who is fulfilled in all areas of life will be an asset to the company that employs them.

There are a number of other programmes being developed and all the above can be run as one to one coaching programmes as well as workshops with follow up individual coaching.
